AR.IO Network Gateway Portal
Designing the operator-first dashboard for the AR.IO gateway network — staking, indexing, manifests, ArNS.
The operator-first dashboard for the AR.IO gateway network. One surface for staking, indexing, manifests, and ArNS — designed to scale from a Raspberry Pi to a multi-region cluster.
What it is
A single dashboard for the people who actually run the permaweb: staking and rewards, write/proxy health, retrieval performance, indexing controls, manifests, ArNS resolution, observability, and team roles. Behind it, a modular architecture that lets community builders specialize gateways for content domains, pricing, or geography.
Design principles
- Permanent-first. Permanence, integrity, and verifiability are surfaced as first-class UI.
- Sovereignty with safety. Expert controls one click deeper than sensible defaults.
- Operational clarity. Pricing, indexing, and rewards always legible.
- Low-friction scale. Same product, laptop or cluster.
What's inside
- Staking & rewards — stake to operate, monitor balances, rates, and payouts.
- Write/proxy — efficient proxying of transaction headers and data chunks.
- Retrieval & caching — fast reads with configurable caches and usage analytics.
- Indexing controls — visibility on progress, plus targeted indexing for specialized datasets.
- Manifests — serve full dApps directly from Arweave.
- ArNS resolution — map human-readable names to content.
- Observability — health checks, latency/error dashboards, alerts.
- Roles & policies — operator and contributor roles for team-run gateways.
Outcome
Part of the broader AR.IO 0→1M user journey. The gateway portal made specialization possible — home labs and enterprise operators on the same primitives, contributing to a more resilient, faster-than-centralized permaweb.
